Inappropriate Language

Communities contain different races, beliefs, ethics, sexual orientations, etc. It is vital that we preserve and protect each culture and that we ensure equality throughout Valor as a whole. The denigration of a member will not be tolerated.

a. Topics, posts, PMs etc., that are directed at a single member, or group, to either defame them of their reputation, character or to simply insult, flame them directly etc., will result in infractions or a ban from the forum.

Inappropriate Content: Infraction/Ban
Material that can somehow insult women and males alike is not allowed on the forums. This includes material such as half-naked women, men, and media of such inappropriate acts (pornographic videos itself). This also includes text-based material in our threads, posts, avatars, profile page etc., and should the rule be broken - he/she will face a permanent removal from the community altogether.

Inappropriate Content that provides media of drug use, bad behavior, and other various forms of content that are deemed inappropriate (at the discretion of the staff member) will be removed and enforced. This is not a community for such things and we do not want to advertise this on the website for our younger audience regardless if they know about it. This isn't what this community is for so keep it off.

We will not tolerate inappropriate names that contain any vulgar language, hate crime, relationship to pornographic material, impersonations (members, mod, admin, owner etc.) or anything that would be considered inappropriate of any sort. Those who fail to comply with this rule will be requested to choose another username by a staff member (the member will have 24 hours to respond). After he or she has not responded or refused the change, their IP will be banned and the account deleted.

Advertising

Advertisement of another RSPS related community is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply will result in an immediate removal from the community with no chance of appeal.

 a. Widespread, ordinary links (eg. YouTube, RuneLocus, Rune-Server, TopG) are acceptable and will oftentimes be permitted, granted one does not take advantage of this exception.

b. Discussing other active servers in-game and/or on the forums is strictly forbidden. Members who wish to advertise a link that is not related to RSPS or was not one of the common links aforementioned may send a link to an administrator and await a response containing approval before publicizing their desired link.

Spamming
Posts that do not contribute to the topic or the quoted text in that is in some form keeping to the main post is considered spam, this rule has been broken down though, read below:

a. Posts that consist of a single word (e.g. "support") will be considered spamming on the forums and a warning or infraction will be given per the staff's discretion. The exception to this rule are the boards (announcements, updates, introductions, vouches, and spam).

b. Grave digging is the act of posting in a "dead thread", which is a thread that was not posted in for over fourteen (14) days. Unless you're posting useful information towards the topic at hand, don't do it.

c. Bumping will be allowed on a topic (by the author) once every three (3) days. Bumping will not exempt you from rule 4.a.

d. Trolling is not accepted on these forums, it's idiotic and immature, we do not accept this behavior and the member is eligible to be muted on the spot depending on the staff member. This applies to in-game, over the yell channel, and on the forums.

e. Posting in the correct board helps us keep a nice, sleek looking forum at all times. Failure to do so causes them to look cluttered, an infraction will be given that expires will be handed out if not doing so.

Misleading Links, Hacking, and Threats

Misleading links are taken extremely seriously. We expect all links to follow the guidelines (see rule 3) and open up to whatever the link was rightfully advertising.

Failure to comply with this rule will result in a permanent removal from the community.

Any form of hacking will result in a permanent removal from the community.

Threats that will put a member’s livelihood, security, personal information, and reputation at risk will result in a permanent removal from the community.

Reputation System

The reputation system is for content that is found useful towards another member. Members caught abusing this or finding a loophole in obtaining an unfair amount of reputation will result in an infraction and their reputation restarted. Continuous failure to comply will result in temporary suspensions leading up to permanent bans.

a. Requesting likes points from others in the shout-box and posts will result in an infraction and a reset of their reputation points.

Encouraging Others to Break Rules: Infraction/Ban

Members that are somehow encouraging others to break a rule whether or not the enticed member understands that specific rule will receive a mute or ban, depending on the extremity or severity of the rule.

Punishment Evasion: Ban/IP-Ban

Punishments that are handed out towards members is one of the reasons communities maintain a balanced environment. Punishments that are evaded are not taken lightly if you feel like you deserve another chance then take it seriously and quickly make an appeal; don’t make a scene.

Providing Fake Evidence

The attempt to use fake evidence is prohibited on Valor; This will result in a permanent ban from the community, both on the forums and in-game. This includes evidence submitted in a report, an appeal, or to defame a user in any section of the forums.

Backseat Moderation

Backseat moderation is something that we simply do not allow because it causes drama throughout the community and questions on whether or not we are an authority figure or if the members themselves are. While we are all equal and should listen and learn from each other - that's simply how it is, we do not do this. Those who find something that needs to be reported or something of the sort, simply report it to a staff member, do not act like one and cause drama, this only causes an uproar.

Flaming, Disrespect, Harassment and Inappropriate Content

Many communities are composed of different backgrounds and beliefs. As such, this community is composed of different beliefs, morals, sexual orientations etc., and we take the value of equality seriously. Remember that each person will take an insult differently depending on these values.

a. The use of inappropriate and/or disrespectful language towards another’s belief, race, religion, and harassing members is not tolerated. While we have an ignore system, we expect members to act accordingly towards each other.

b. Content that is advertised and/or discussed VIA the yell channel, public chat, or clan chat that is deemed inappropriate per the staff member’s discretion will be dealt with accordingly. This includes but not limited to; pornographic material, debates about sensitive topics, etc.

c. Harassing the administration with wanting staff is not tolerated, members must earn the ranks! Failure to cease these actions will result in a mute and/or a permanent ban at the discretion of the staff team.

You may discuss any RSPS that is not online. Members who wish to advertise a link that is not related to RSPS or was not one of the common links aforementioned may send a link to an administrator and await a response containing approval before publicizing their desired link.

c. Direct advertisement will not be tolerated on Valor. (eg. "Come fight me on Valor, they have a better combat system!"). First offenders will receive a 24 hour mute, followed by a 48 hour mute, increasing to a 7 day mute, and finally, a permanent mute.

d. Valor has a filter in place to avoid discussion that is harmful to Valor as a whole. Any attempt to get around this system will result in a 48 hour mute, followed by a 7-day mute, and finally, a permanent mute. In addition, any attempt to get around the filter in order to sway other players to donate/switch to another active server will be punished more severely with a 7-day IP-mute, followed by a permanent ban, with the end result being a permanent removal from the community.

Spamming

Spamming on Valor is not allowed, as it causes disarray throughout the server. We aim to maintain a cordial, pleasant atmosphere on Valor. We expect our members to be respectful to one another. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a 24 hour mute, followed by a 48 hour mute, and finally, a permanent mute. If excessive enough, the wrongdoer can be given an IP-Mute, and, finally, a permanent ban will be put into effect if deemed necessary. If the content of the spam contains terribly inappropriate, derogatory, or offensive text, the wrongdoer will receive the latter.

a. If a member acquires a donor status that has a fairly short yell cool down timer, that does not give them the right to abuse it under any circumstances.

b. An auto-typer is allowed via public chat to buy or sell items. However, one must have at least 15-second intervals between each message with or without an auto-typer.

c. Excessive begging for personal gain will not be tolerated on Valor.

d. Advertising videos, Youtube channels, Or Valor related content will fall under the 5 minute "World yell" timer listed below.

Misleading Links, Hacking, and Threats

Misleading links are never allowed on the server, we expect links to open up to us what it was advertised for. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a permanent removal from the community.

Hacking in any shape or form will result in a permanent removal from the community, simply put.

Threatening members that will put their life, security, and reputation at risk will result in a permanent removal from the community.

Punishment Evasion

Punishments that are assigned to members are given to further better Valor as a community and maintain a stable, fair, and efficient environment. With that being said, those who evade will not be dealt with lightly; if a member feels as if they were wrongly punished, they can go about it the right way by appealing and constructively stating their case. If one evades, it will result in a ban or an IP-Ban, depending on the magnitude of the situation.

Third Party Software

The use of third party software that allows a member to have an unfair advantage in any way will result in a six hour jail time, followed by a two-day ban, and finally ending with a permanent suspension from the server. We want a fair environment where all players have the equal chance of all features. This is including but not limited to auto-clickers, auto-typers (if auto-typing is not being followed properly), etc., there's no reason to risk it!

Multi-Logging

Multi-logging is not against the rules of Valor, as we do allow players to be logged into multiple accounts at once. However, we do not allow multi-logging to gain an excessive advantage over other users. We are striving to maintain an environment in which no player has an exponential advantage over other players. First offenders will receive a 24 Hour ban, Second offenders will receive 48 Hour ban and a bank wipe if deemed necessary, followed up with a permanent ban, and finally, an IP-Ban.

a. Playing on multiple accounts at once while participating in the same skill, boss, mini-game or activity is not allowed. An example of this would be two accounts that are thieving at the same time or two accounts that are killing Corporeal Beast; these examples are against the rules. It is allowed to have one account skilling and another account bossing. This rule also applies to the use of the second account to assist yourself with bossing or skilling in the wilderness.

b. Multi-logging in the wilderness is allowed if you have no interaction between any of your accounts. If you have one account skilling in the resource area, and another account killing people in the Revenant Caves this is OK. It is not OK, for example, to skill in the resource area and kill other players there on your alternate account. It is also not allowed to use a second account to protect your accounts in the wilderness. Scouts are also allowed to an extent, as long as they do not allow an unfair advantage over other players in the Wilderness. Firstly, scouts must be Level 3 combat and have ABSOLUTELY NO ITEMS equipped or in their inventory. Secondly, for example, if you bring a scout to Chaos Elemental to see who is there BEFORE teleporting there, this is okay. It is not okay, however, to plant a scout outside of the Rev Caves entrance while you kill Revs so that you can see when PKers are coming. Scout must leave before the main account can teleport to this location.

Bug Abuse

Abuse of a bug or glitch that allows a player to somehow have an advantage over another or the server itself is not tolerated. We ask all members to report them as soon as they're found otherwise a permanent removal from the community will be issued.

VPN Voting

Changing your IP to gain multiple vote books is against the rules. If you're caught you will be punished.

Yell Channel

Members may not use world yell to advertise clan chats with the exception of the server clan chats such as Valor and Help. Group activities are acceptable. This includes gambling chats, clan chats, etc. First offenders will receive a warning, followed by 24-hour mute, with the ending result being a 48-hour mute. If a member has been given direct permission by another staff member, they may disregard this rule.

a. Flaming, flame-baiting, and trolling via world yell will not be tolerated. On top of the standardized punishment (see rule 1), the wrongdoer's right to world yell will be revoked temporarily or indefinitely, depending on the severity of the text.

b. Luring members over world yell is prohibited and can result in the revoking of the wrongdoer's access to world yell temporarily or indefinitely, depending on the severity of the text.

c. Advertising videos or content related to Valor is allowed with a yell timer of 5 minutes+, if this is below 5 minutes you will be warned at first, the second time it will result in a 24 hour yell-mute followed by a 48 hour yell-mute with the ending result being a 7 day yell-mute.

d. AFK yelling (away from keyboard) is only allowed when it is 10+ minutes each yell, if this is below 10 minutes you'll be kicked at first with a warning upon logging in. The second offense will result in a 24-hour yell-mute with the ending result being a permanent yell-mute.

e.  Anything that can be seen as intentional spam in yell is a mutable offense. "Ree" is no longer an instant mute, however, if you are to spam yell chat with it, you will be punished. The first offense will result in a 1-hour yell-mute followed up by a 24-hour yell-mute with the ending result being a 7-day yell-mute.

f. Valor is primarily based out of the United States and Canada. This being said, the only language that should be used on the World Yell or in the Valor CC is English. The use of any other language will result in a 1 hour yell-mute, followed by a 24-hour mute, a 48-hour mute, a 7-day mute, and finally, a permanent mute.

Refunds, Scams, and Disconnects , etc.

a. Disconnections will not be refunded, feel free to create a thread about it and stating the problem so the problem can be fixed though.

b. Donations will ONLY be refunded if he/she has NOT been given their items or position (forums, server) after 72 hours, otherwise, a refund is not required. Remember, items that have been obtained through our donation system that is lost at their own doing will not be refunded.

c. Reset of the server or forums will be refunded if he or she has posted valid proof of their purchase in the relative board, otherwise, a refund is not required on our part.

d. Scammed members will not be refunded because there are simple tactics to not be scammed in the first place such as using a middleman (server support, moderator, administrator etc.). Please note that we will not be accepting photo-reports of members being scammed, it must be a video or it will not be handled. Please do note that scammers will be punished severely with a permanent ban on their first offense and an IP-Ban on their second offense.

e. Account sharing is not of our concern and is at the discretion of member to do so, however, members who do decide to do so and have had their accounts muted, banned, or otherwise “hacked” will be at their own fault.

f. Hacking refunds will not be handed out, those who have been victimized should have all the security features that we offer on Valor.

g. Glitch refunds will ONLY be refunded if the member has 100 percent proof, and has proof of the items prior to the glitch happening. Note that if a developer (or whoever has spawning abilities) does not see the proof to be enough, it can be declined and a refund is not required.

Encouraging Others to Break Rules

Members that are somehow encouraging others to break a rule whether or not the enticed member understands that specific rule will receive a 24-48 hour mute or 24-hour ban, depending on the extremity or severity of the rule

PvP (Player vs. Player)

Valor is not held responsible for members who have lost, disconnected, etc.  while in the wilderness. For the most part, going into the wilderness is at people's own risk, however, we have but a few rules:

a. PVP-Farming will be an automatic IP-Ban or Mac Ban from the server and no chance of appeal.

b. Luring is apart of MANY RSPS communities, and RuneScape itself. It is not punishable on Valor however, the only exception to this rule is luring staff asking for help, or anything else along the lines will result in a punishment up to and/or including a ban.

Real World Trading

Purchasing, selling goods, or services (accounts, real life items, RSGP, Microsoft points, riot points, other private server items for Valor items etc.) will not be tolerated and action will be taken if it continues, we do not have the time for members to come to us and tell us that they've been scammed or hacked. This also including the server, we do want people coming at us as I said before, if we do not catch X member and end up being scammed. We will not be held responsible for the scam, or hacking.

a. Purchasing or Selling of any Valor account will not be allowed on the server or forums. The ban will be permanent the first time with no chance of appeal, the second will be an IP-Ban.

b. Purchasing or Selling of donator status on an existing account is not allowed on the server or forums. Advertising that you're going to do so will result in a 24 hour mute. Please note that we are allowing members to donate for one another (for example, member 'a' buys member 'b' donator status and then member 'b' pays them 300m).

Agreement

By being on the forums and server (this being implied that you've already read the rules), you understand that you are responsible for your own actions. You understand that the rules stated above will be enforced at all times and the administration has the ability to further the punishment despite what it states above, this is the administration's discretion. We have permission to do what we want with your account as they are a property of ours and you are merely 'playing' on it. You understand that when a rule is broken, your account will be dealt with accordingly and fairly as possible through the system that we have made for the staff team and how people are dealt with.

You understand that we the administration have the ability and authority to alter your account at any time should we have to or feel we must check something onto one's account and agree that requesting a refund after an administrator has made an X change is not made.

You understand that the staff team is required to provide proof, however, we will not disclose a member's name (the one that reported you) if the member requests it. Many of the reports made in the report abuse board are hidden for a reason from others, however, we will do our best to provide the proof that we need.

You understand that we are not responsible for what is posted on these forums (while we will take action after it's either reported or we see it) so therefore someone that has been infected through these forums by a third party or by someone of this community, it's not our responsibility but it will be dealt with. So this being said, we are not responsible for ANY damage made to personal property or information being stolen. Per this section, you understand that inappropriate posts (as said above though, once it's reported or we see it - it will be dealt with) that a child MAY encounter such as pornographic material, promoting drug-related topics etc., it's not our responsibility, this is solely the parent's role. All emails or PMs to us by parents will either be replied to with simple words, or ignored and deleted - make no mistake, we will take care of it once reported or seen.

When reporting a member of the community you must provide a full-screen picture of the client and computer. We will no longer be accepting reports that have been cut-out, cropped etc., we expect the entire picture to be there; if it's not then we will not deal with the report. If you happen to have a reason to report a staff member it needs to be video proof, we will no longer accept pictures as proof as it is very easy to falsify proof and we do not need unnecessary drama caused by that. All punishment times can be altered depending on the severity of the rule broken.
